The Stones Will Cry Out

Luke 19:37-40, When he (Jesus) came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen.

"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!"

"Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!"

"I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."

The Scriptures tell us that there is nothing new under the sun.  Today, we see those who want God's children to be silent.  They have taken prayer out of the schools.  They have taken the Ten Commandments out of our courthouses.  They are on a crusade to remove anything that has to do with the cross of Christ, that which testifies to the suffering our Lord went through to purchase eternal life for those who would ask.  They want the children of God to stop spreading the Gospel and leading others to eternal life.  They want us to believe that the Bible, the Scriptures, are myth.

But, the stones will cry out.

As I was thinking about it today, archaeology cannot lie.  Archaeology must bear witness to the history that was there.  I don't believe there is any scientist or reasonable person who would deny that.

There is an arcaeological find outside of Jerusalem, the Palace of King David (1000 BC) that is proving out the Biblical accounts.  This is undeniable.

Now, those who want to reject Christ and teach others to do the same, must find a different avenue.  This one of proclaiming the Bible to be myth has been proven wrong.

For those who want to look at the facts, the facts of the Scriptures and the facts born out in history and archaeology, Jesus is still waiting.  Ask Him, who died for you and then rose from the dead, to apply to you what He has done.  To forgive you of your sin and give you eternal life.  He will do it.
